Only 27 miles.

Mr. Pither sheds a few pounds of sweat along the Fox River Trail. Also, elk. misterpither.blogspot.com

Lisa, that is at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond, 1/2 block east of Cannon on the south side of Fullerton. Enter through the gate. You cannot bring your bikes in, but it is well worth showing off one of Chicago's hidden gems to family.

Really like that last single photo, too, Gene.  Location?

Family in from out of town tomorrow, and we are going bike riding.  (Vacation day!)  I plan to try to show them some of your places.

I've been sick, and then a broken axle stalled me out 25 miles short of logging my first 1000 mile year. Got my bike back today just in time to get a quick ten miles in. Not quite there yet, but quite happy...

no....moment of guilt....ok, i'm over it....

Yeah, although I did wait for the rain to pass.

I also waited, but given how much I was sweating by the time I got in, I might as well have ridden in the rain.

I actually welcomed riding in the rain this morning. The past few days I came close to getting heatstroke, so the rain was more of a relief to me than anything else. I just made sure to pack some dry work clothes.

Yep--wish I had left in the rain.  Wet from rain is better when it is this warm!
