I finally found a use for the lowest gear on the Divvy bikes!

While biking west tonight, the gale-force winds held me literally motionless.

I shifted down to the lowest Divvy gear and began continuing west. Huzzah!

Then the wind let up and the lowness of the gear left me once again motionless. ;)

I think the Divvy gearing is set to prevent people from going too fast. Even in the "Top Gear" its pretty modest which, all things considered (recreational population using them) seems appropriate. But if you wanted to drop down again you might be able to go this route:

I totally get that. The lowest Divvy gear is craaaazy low though. :)
