Here's the Latest Look at the Bloomingdale Trail [PHOTOS]

Landscape and design architects donned hard hats to walk on the under-construction Bloomingdale Trail Monday. Set to open in June, the elevated 2.7-mile-long biking, jogging and walking path begins in Bucktown and Wicker Park to the east and extends west to Logan Square and Humboldt Park.

I'm surprised there was no mention of an expected opening date given the text describing it as an accelerated project.

They have been shooting for a 6.06 opening date to tie with the new 606 name. Let's hope they don't face another delay. The cold weather was to blame for earlier delays.

Also hanging in the balance is the so-called “Magid Glove” acquisition needed to complete the Bloomingdale Trail, also known as the “606.”
