it sounds like all that guy does is drive up and down Kinzie all day. Maybe if we get him off the streets traffic wouldn't be so bad there.

I couldn't really locate his specific opposition to the Kedzie lane. His concerns were more along the lines of "Well, no one asked me." and "I bet they still won't plow the side streets!".

He even pointed out that $28 million for 100 miles of bike lanes really wasn't that much money. What a helpful guy. Seems kind of resigned, really.

“He’s putting them in,” Klein said. “The mayor says we’re doing it.”

So there you have it — an answer Chicagoans can understand.

Has the Active Trans Alliance tried some kind of outreach to the anti-cycling media voices? Actually getting these guys out on a bike to experience a car-free commute would at the least help them understand what they were crusading against.

Yep a bike lane causes congestion esp. on Kinzie where it goes from 2 lanes 1 then back to 2 then...

He looks like he'd start sweating in 60 degrees.

I'm pretty sure his hate stems from the fact that he sees them every day on his way to the Sun time offices maybe he should stop driving to work if traffic delay is that bad.
