Hey all - I have some extra crap that I would like to leave my house and find a new home, maybe at your house, so I can make some more room to buy different crap that I don't need. Please feel free to make an offer on any of this stuff - really, I'd like it gone. Soon. Today, even.
1997 Novara Randonee touring bike w/ rack + fenders: http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/3096303837.html
Chrome Falcon backpack - $60 and Carradice Barley - $50: http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/3096336947.html

It is too small for me - otherwise I'd be sorely tempted.
Permalink Reply by Alex on June 25, 2012 at 1:26pm Yep - the $375 is what it cost me all together, got a really good deal on a different touring bike that fits me better so this one's got to go. Thought about keeping the fenders and rack but they seem to fit this bike well so I'd rather just sell as a package.

Permalink Reply by Alex on June 25, 2012 at 9:41pm Just an update - bike is sold (good lord, seems to be a real touring bike deficit in this town), bags are going but at least one of each still available. If you are on the market for an early 80's beater touring bike, I have a very bizarre old Centurion (by bizarre, I mean that it can hold FOUR water bottle cages, and the components are clearly the product of someone's random parts bin and maybe some psychedelic drugs) then you are in luck, as I have one that I will sell for $125, or maybe less.

Where does one mount a 4th water bottle cage?

I've seen that on the long tube of a tandem, but never on a single bike. What's the clearance like between the bottles? are both cages usable with a normal sized bottle, or does one block the other?
