Awesome pugsleyness! I test rode one at Rapid Transit. Who needs shocks?

I was out at 5 Am to do the Amlings toys for tots ride, the main streets were slick, over 80 cyclists  donated and transported 800+ toys

I'm one of those who hates every single snowflake.  Yes, I need to live on the equator.

+1

Not like anyone needs to see another pic of my bike, but here's another image from this morning:

People DEMAND salt on the roads when there's a paper-thin layer of snow? Really?

Weird.

I seem to remember some "real" snow earlier in 2011.

Word.. like more than 2 feet!

From my ride to work that morning.

I found the street in front of my apartment and going to the LFP to be completely iced over as well as dusted with that light layer of snow. The ride on the LFP was okay once I passed a salt truck a little north of 47th. However, once I got past Navy Pier I noticed that the city had not done anything to salt or otherwise clear the path running north at least as far as Fullerton. Frankly, I was a bit scared riding that section until I got past the Oak Street curve. I kept expecting to hit some ice followed by sliding down the slope and into the lake. Guess I need to get some studded tires now.
