This morning on my commute I saw that the window to Easy Rider bike shop on 4119 N. Lincoln was busted out, glass shards all over the sidewalk. The owner was inside sweeping up. Apparently a thief broke the window in the early hours of the morning but he triggered the alarm and before he could escape he got arrested. Score one for the cops. I feel bad for the owner, but I'm glad the thief got caught.

Which shop are you thinking of? I can't think of a bike shop near there, unless there's something in the stripmall by CostCo.

I have seen zero evidence that they're particularly concerned with getting the word out to the bike community to watch out for the bikes . . . until further evidence comes my way I'll have to conclude that they're not particularly concerned about finding them.
