The Chainlink

Lately about 1/3 of my intended trips have not been possible either because of full stations/no open docks, or (less frequently) empty stations. Current example--- right now I thought I'd take the red line to Argyle and Divvy from there to Clark and Winnemac, but that station is showing only one open slot. I'm slowly getting the feeling it's because my usage is for other purposes than commuting to work and that the rebalancing is completely centered on making sure there are enough bikes outside the loop for the trip into the loop the next morning.  Anyone else finding the same thing?

Back in May I had a problem finding an open dock in Lincoln Square. Since then I've mostly used Divvy downtown (River North), where finding a bike is more of the problem in my experience.

Yes, I have seen this problem too - specifically at that station.  But I think the Clark & Winnemac station is especially difficult, because it almost the farthest northern station.  I have seen it full when other folks were trying to dock.  That being said, I manage to dock at it almost once a week without a problem.

Forgot it was at the far north end.  I was thinking it was a matter of the rebalancers filling it to the brim at night in preparation for the morning commute, but I suppose they may just collect there.

The other problem I encounter most frequently is W. Loop stations (that aren't right at train stations) being empty, followed by no open docks at lakefront stations.

Yeah, I found the Clark and Winnemac station full the other week, right around 7pm or so. I don't think that was because the re-stockers had filled it.
