Permalink Reply by Serge Lubomudrov on November 10, 2012 at 1:19pm Don't forget to stop at the One Trick Pony and the Flossmoor Station AFTER 3Floyds! ;)
Permalink Reply by James BlackHeron on November 10, 2012 at 3:25pm The 3-Floyds run was fun -although the destination wasn't all that IMHO. And that doesn't even factor in the ridiculous wait time to get in.
I'd love to do another similar ride in the future. But rather than hit 3F just go straight to Floosmoor Station instead. Same distance, or even a little longer loop, just one fewer stop.

This is envane's route. He's pretty much a maestro of cycling directions, and I was on this ride too.

Permalink Reply by Craig S. on November 10, 2012 at 4:13pm I never agree with anything James says, but even a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
3 Floyd's completely sucks in so many ways and I'll never darken their doorstep or purchase their overrated and overpriced beer again. Flossmoor Station on the other hand; far better beer and a far better customer experience.

Permalink Reply by envane (69 furlongs) on November 10, 2012 at 4:18pm My route also makes a fun but pointless excursion to Marktown and involves some confusing shortcuts. To get directly to 3F I'd recommend either of the routes Kevin posted.
Also, expect a line if you go on a weekend.

I should also add that there is an interim stop before 3F ; Bulldog Brewery. They are awesome and you should totally make a stop there.
Permalink Reply by Will on November 10, 2012 at 4:38pm I've done FFF several times, and I love the beer and the food. However, it sucks riding 35 miles to an office park, only to have to wait an hour or more for a table. I recommend planning to arrive at an off-peak time, to minimize your wait.
Flossmoor Station brews some great beer, and in many ways their location is preferable to Three Floyds, but the food is not as good, IMO. Definitely it's a worthy stop after Three Floyds, at least, or perhaps an alternate destination, if you like.
Permalink Reply by James BlackHeron on November 10, 2012 at 5:05pm On my one and only bike trip to 3F I don't even remember what I ordered. It wasn't very memorable at all.
Permalink Reply by Kevin C on November 10, 2012 at 6:27pm I agree with the others who state that FFF is over-rated, poorly located, staffed by people with a bad attitude, and not worth the wait. I too far and away prefer the experience at Flossmoor Station. But the OP was asking how to get to FFF, not whether it sucks. Had that been the question, I would have cheerfully replied, "yes it does."
