Cyclist attacked in Oak Park
A Berwyn woman riding her bike on the 1100 block of S. Oak Park Avenue was attacked by two young males at 11:50 p.m. Feb. 15. The thugs knocked the woman off her bike and stole her purse, which contained $70, credit cards and personal identification. They were last seen running southbound in the alley behind Oak Park Avenue.

Thugs is an understatement. Good reminder to stay alert. Is that area of Oak Park Ave pretty deserted at that hour?

That area isn't particularity dangerous - been there at same time coming home from Ale Haus. In fact, in the OP the bigger threat tends to be stolen bikes by way of garage break-ins.
