Chicago got a 70.2 from Walk Score, with Minneapolis and San Francisco taking the top spots in the 20-city list. Chicago’s score means it’s “very bikeable,” meaning biking is convenient for most trips. Boston edged out Chicago with a 70.3 score.

The website calculates its bike scores by measuring bike lanes and trails, hills, destinations and road connectivity and the number of bike commuters. Walk Score is a division of Redfin, a real estate website.
