The Chainlink

I came out of work today and my bike was gone. I still cannot believe it and have actually cried twice.  Hard to imagine where it is right now.  Ugh, I am sick about it.

I know there are other forums for this, but I just needed to vent.  :(

So sorry to read this Molly.  I wish this sort of thing didn't happen.

Hey guys, could really use some help encouraging people to post their stolen bikes to http://stolenbike.org before wasting time posting bits and pieces of info with no way to follow up to various forums-- and also encouraging them to get a police report in right away so someone spotting it might be empowered to get help.

Sorry to hear.  Post up make and model and color.  It can only help.  I can't imagine if one of my bikes, into which I pour TOO MUCH money, was stolen from me.  I can help you with some parts for a new build, if you need.

i do really hope you did call the police. when my cannondale was stolen (from across the street from my work) i was the angriest i've ever been for a while, before i got sad. hell, i had a dream the other night that my silly little motobecane was stolen and i got so mad that i woke up. it's a really crappy feeling, being the point. i also have a reasonably sized pile of parts if you need some.

FYI - sticky thread that tells you what do you when your bike gets stolen very eloquently written by Lee Diamon.

Poor baby. You have my sympathies.
