Permalink Reply by Ali-Musa Kaba on September 28, 2010 at 1:50am Not the best industry to get into. The jobs have become very scarce, and those that have them for the most part dont make too much $. Of course there are exceptions, but they are rare. And you will get hurt from either crashing, getting hit, or just plain overuse. You could do pretty well, back in the day, but unfortunatly this is an industry that has been on the decline for some time now. Deadline Express for example, used to have 15-20 riders when I worked there in the late 90's. Today they have 2 or 3 last I heard. Dont take that to be indicative of the entire industry, just an example. Deliver sandwiches if you want to ride for a living.

Permalink Reply by Ali-Musa Kaba on September 29, 2010 at 4:07pm Hahahaha, that's what I do! I don't get paid to ride my bike, but I do get to ride my bike soooooo much going from house to house all day, everyday. ... Check out Chicago Dog Walkers; I don't work for them, but they're almost always hiring, and you'd actually be an employee through them, so if you did get injured on your bike in between walks, that should be covered under their insurance (from my understanding - so don't hold me to that.)
