Bobby's Bike Hike, Chicago's leader in bicycle tours and rentals, is expanding and seeking a Full-time service manager and bicycle mechanic with a strong work-ethic and positive attitude to lead our maintenance team, plus run our rapidly growing service department. 

Applicants must have at least two years of prior bike shop experience, preferably running a service department. The perfect candidate is all of the following:

We are hiring immediately with advancement opportunities into salaried positions, including bonuses and paid vacation. 

Year-round mechanic duties include:

  • Servicing both Customer and Company Bikes
  • Pricing Estimates for Customer Repairs
  • Maintaining Parts Inventory and Repair Records
  • Ordering Shop Materials, Tools, Parts and Supplies
  • Insuring Cleanliness, Efficiency, and Safety of Service Area
  • Conducting Bike Repair Classes for Other Employees and Customers
  • Updating Service Training Documents
  • Weekly Meetings with General Manager
