The Chainlink

Hello,

Last Sunday I rode from Harvard up to Burlington and then on to Kenosha, and while it was a nice ride, I'm wondering if there's a better way into Kenosha from the west.

I took a route suggested by Google Maps: Route 142 onto Frontage Road near the Mars Cheese Castle, then 38th east to Adams, then various city streets the rest of the way downtown. 38th was ridable but not especially fun with lots of high-speed traffic and exurban shopping centers (though it was kind of interesting to go past the massive Amazon warehouse). Is there a better way? (If it matters, I will probably try County Road K next time instead of Route 142. But I don't mind cutting north or south a bit if it means a nicer route through the sprawl into the city.)
