Permalink Reply by h' 1.0 on September 29, 2010 at 5:13pm This is awesome news. My company made the switch to gMail and I can't stand it. I still open everything within Apple Mail. I can keep my inbox much cleaner, file away individual emails instead of a thread, don't worry about forwarding something I don't want to. I wonder when this will be rolled out to us!

Why would you prefer non-threaded emails? Honestly, I feel like my whole life changed for the better when I started using Gmail. Then, when my office used Outlook, I felt overwhelmed by the volume of "Re: blahblahblah" emails. (I know you can sort by conversation in Outlook - for some reason, the visual effect of Outlook sorting is clunky and gross-looking to me.)
Also, I think the rollout actually takes several days, and you probably have to change your own settings - it won't happen automatically. Likely due to the very slim minority of Gmail users who would ever prefer such a thing :)
