The Chainlink

I found a wheel and frame set I really want to put on my bicycle, is it possible to change my vintage Chicago Schwinn Traveler to the 700c wheel? Currently it has 27x1 1/4 wheels which you cannot find any cool things for :((((

any help would be welcome. Please I am fairly new at this so please do not think I am a complete idiot.

Thanks guys for all the help. I stuck with my original rims, and just replaced the tires and spokes

I agree with the BlackHeron dude.  Stick with 27 X 1/4" or 27 X 1/8".  There are nice tires out there for the old size but you've got to go online to snag 'em.  Sun Rims also makes great replacements for your old rims if it comes down to that.

I think you're cool if you can tell folks who are trying to tell you to spend money unnecessarily to talk to the next guy and just leave you alone.
