The Urban Legend Brewing Company turned out to be not a legend at all—as it has recently been officially opened,—though it definitely on its way to become legendary, for the great beer being born there.
. . . Let's meet at the Union Station at 10:15 in the morning on Sunday, September 29, and take the 10:40 a.m. BNSF train to Westmont. The train arrives at 11:20 a.m., and, as it's just 2 miles from the station to the brewery, we should be there before noon. The brewer will be expecting us.
After enjoying what the Urban Legend has to offer, we'll proceed farther west, towards Aurora and the Two Brothers Roundhouse.
(I've originally planned to visit yet another new brewery, the Hopvine, about to be opened in Aurora. Unfortunately, they will not be ready by the end of this month. Still, I'm awaiting their answer about a sneak preview, so keep you toes and fingers crossed . . .)
Depending on how much time we spend at our first stop in Westmont and when we arrive to the Roundhouse in Aurora, we'll board the train back to Chicago at 4:20 or 6:20 p.m.
Minimum average speed: 10 mph.
The usual: water, snacks, spare tubes, sunscreen, etc.
More details to follow, if needed.
