Description

Lake Forest is a city located in Lake County, IL. The city is south of Waukegan along the shore of Lake Michigan and a great destination for a day trip on a bike.  We will bike through Evanston and around Lake Forest College through the town that was laid out as a stop for travelers making their way south to Chicago.  We will pass by the Lake Forest City Hall, designed by an architect named Frost, completed in 1898 and originally housed the fire department, the Lake forest Library and city offices.

We will ride north on a combination of trails and low traffic roads, stop for lunch, and then return.   Total distance will be 60 miles at a 14-16 mph pace.
