Ride to Restore the 31st Street Bus Line organized by the Little VIllage Environmental Justice Organization.

The ride begins at 10:00 am at Little Village Lawndale HS at 3120 S. Kostner Avenue, with 'bus stop' departures from:

11:00 am: Video Strip 3307 S. Archer Ave, McKinley Park.

11:15 am: First Trinity 643 W. 31st Street, Bridgeport.

11:45 am: Christ the Mediator Church 3100 S. Calumet, Bronzeville.

Ending with a 12:30 pm press conference at the 31st Street Beach.

Comment by h' 1.0 on June 30, 2012 at 10:36am: I think the time to push for a 31st street bus would be after the New St. Anthony Hospital opens at 31st and Kedzie in a few years.

For now I'd much rather see resources go towards reasonable headways for other local bus routes; 30 minute gaps in Western bus service and up to 40 minute gaps for the #60 have become commonplace during the daytime.
