Nature Calls: A Bicycle Ride

Who's ready to get some late summer gravel in! We'll be meeting up at Penrose Brewing company at 7am and rolling out at 7:30am for 40-50 miles of mixed surface riding. Ready to put a great cap on a fun summer of riding or get some shake-down miles in before cross? This will be for you.

I will post GPS routes a week or so before the ride. I will try to get some cue sheets printed out for us. The route will not be marked so come prepared.


Now for the disclaimers:

This is drop ride. It usually breaks up into an A(racing) and B(touring) group. If you pop, you might be riding alone for a while. I always bring a slow friend to keep me company.

Come prepared to fix your own flats, and other mechanical issues. In general the group keeps an eye out for each other but if something happens and you fall of the back without letting anybody know, you're on your own. 

I am a firm believer that almost any bike can be rode in almost any condition. This is a gravel ride. There will be gravel. Rocks, mud, sand, washboard roads, and loose surfaces are not only likely, they are guaranteed. If you feel comfortable riding on them, then have at it. Your bike will be able to handle it. The real question is, can you?
