I'm on the fence, any northsiders going?  I usually don't like taking the lfp, get confused after the pier, but if others go, might tag along.

pre-rode last night...great route with a mix of new and old.  ride whatever you feel you can handle soft surfaces with.  I was on fixed 700x23 slicks and had no prob, though flatting was a concern....but all good!!!

I've been hearing rumors that Midnight Marauders have sarcastic senses of humor and get their news from the Onion.  I've have yet to join a ride yet and am considering riding tonight.  Since I'm shy and have a hard time talking to people (that's why I have only friends I met in forums), do you think it would be helpful to read the latest edition of the Onion?  Thanks for any advice ahead of time.

If it rains, we will certainly get muddy. Most of this ride is completely new, and very cool stuff. If you want to be on the first MM ride to see these spots, as we will certainly use them again over the years, make it out tonight.

I think in this context, alternative is any bike you wouldn't be comfortable taking off road.

 

An example would be: if your tall bike is sketchy in the dirt or you have a hard time dodging low-hanging tree limbs, you might wanna take the mountain bike tonight.

OMG!  I totally forgot that I have The Rapture scheduled for Noon on Saturday (I went through a born-again phase about 15 yrs ago).  So, depending on the rules and all, I may not be around to attend.
