Description

Friends of the Major Taylor Trail will partner with TreeKeepers for a trail clean-up workday from 2-4 p.m. on Sat. 3/31.  We will meet on the north side of 111th by the Major Taylor mural.  Our work area will be between 111th and 115th, where we will remove deadfall trees, cut brush and trim trees.

If you have work gloves and suitable hand tools, please bring them, otherwise gloves and tools will be available.

Long pants, long sleeves and enclosed boots or shoes are recommended to protect yourself against scratches.

If you're interested in a visit to a nearby restaurant and/or Rainbow Cone afterwards, that's a workable option.

This location is approx. 1 mile east of the 111th St. Metra station on the Rock Island line.  For travel info, click here.  CTA info is here.  The nearest Pace bus routes are the 352 Halsted and 349 Western (runs south from 79th).
