Description

Heading up to Harvard via Metra and then riding to Ottawa Lake in Kettle Moraine State Park - Southern Unit (43-ish miles, one way). Leaving Olgilvie Station at 8:30am on Saturday, arriving at Harvard at 10:20am and then making our way to Kettle Moraine. Leaving the park Sunday morning and arriving at Harvard around 10:30am for the ride back to the city. I have reserved a camp site and have room for 4 other people at the site.

We still have room for 2 more at our campsite. If you know someone interested, I can scrounge up equipment (I have an extra tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad). We can make it work! If not, we'll be like the 4 musketeers. Don't forget: Caribou at Olgilvie - 8AM sharp. See you all soon.

-We'll make a stop in Develan, WI (an old circus colony) for lunch and special camp beverages (aka beer).

-I'm packing a dinner for myself on Saturday, snacks, and a breakfast for Sunday.

-if someone has a frisbee, please bring it!

-bring an extra tube or two and a patch kit for yourself. I'll have a pump.

BTW, There is a Caribou Coffee at the Oliglive Station.I was thinking we could all meet there at 8:00am. The train leaves at 8:30. Alternatively, we could meet at my apartment, but I figured it may be out of the way.

Comment by spencewine on October 16, 2012 at 8:46am: Weather Forecast is looking good for the weekend. Sunny both days, but Saturday will have a low of 37 degrees, so make sure you pack warm clothes. I've talked with Matty Ice, but Hannah, do you have all the gear? (Tent, Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc)
