HEATSTROKE 100 BIKE RIDE

SUNDAY, JULY 11, 2010

Distance: 14 miles, 43 miles, 74 miles, 100 mile routes

Course: Beautiful scenic routes through the rolling back roads of Racine, Walworth, and Kenosha counties. All routes are carefully marked and mapped on low-traffic roads. All routes have hills. The 74 & 100 mile routes are suggested for assertive, well conditioned riders.

Rest Stops: There will be rest stops at various points along the 4 different routes. Each rest stop (manned by staff) will be
equipped with bathroom, water, and a variety of quick energy foods.

Cost: Pre-registration: $23.00 Day of ride: $25.00
Cost includes unique HEATSTROKE 100 T-shirt to the first 300 registered riders, refreshment stops en route, detailed route map, and sag wagon if needed.

Start Packet pickup/Registration/Check-in: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM (100 & 74 milers must start by 8:00 AM)

Check-In: All riders must check-in and/or register at Bob’s Pedal Pusher Bike Shop, 466 S. Pine Street (Hwy. 83) just two blocks south of Dairy Queen. (90 minutes north of O’Hare; 30 minutes south of Hales Corners). Park in big lot next door or school parking lot 2 blocks west. All riders must finish by 4:00 PM. Please take this into account when choosing your route and departure time.

Sag Wagon: Bicyclists will only be transported by the sag wagon in case of medical emergencies and/or mechanical breakdowns. A tired cyclist is not considered an emergency. Please choose a route in accordance with your physical abilities. Each rider is strongly encouraged to carry a water bottle, tube and patch kit, and to wear a protective helmet.
