Hello!

My name is Sara and I'm the creator of The Brew Hub, a bicycle powered iced beverage cart.

I realized today that riding to the south side for the food truck rally would be fun, but it would be WAY more fun with a group. AND, since I've got a 300lb rear end these days, I tend to ride slow and steady.

So lets do a family ride! All ages and skill levels welcome as we'll pick a super chill route, ride at an easy pace, take a pit stop half way, and arrive just in time for lunch w/ all the best Chicago food trucks! This is also a wonderful opportunity to ride in big safe group to an area of the city that many don't alway feel comfortable exploring solo.

Route and meeting spot to be announced this week, but I do know we'll take off near Wicker Park around 10am and leave the Rally to head back north at 1pm.

Advance tickets are available for $5 each or $7 at the door.

The official departure spot is Comrade Cycles! 1908 W Chicago Ave.

They're going to open up a bit early [9:30AM] for all of your pre-ride mechanical needs. Also the route has been mapped! Thanks to Shelby over at The Plant for helping craft it for us. I'll have an easy to read printed version for the day of as well.

Oh and I forgot to mention! We will do a ride back north together, leaving The Plant at 1pm. For those who are feeling ambitious, please join me at the second bike event of the day: the Third Annual Cargo Bike Roll Call. We'll split off and head west at Division street.

Lastly, any ideas for a good halfway point pit stop if needed? I'll admit I don't ride so far south often.
