Description

Have you tried F8 brewskies? If not, here's your chance to do that, right at the source.

It's a long (over 50 miles form the Buckingham Fountain) ride, so we must start early. We can pick up those who live south of Downtown on the way, so there's no need for them to go to the Fountain.

Here are Google-generated directions to the brewery.

Trails: Lakfront; Burnham Greenway; Erie Lackawanna; Oak Savannah.

After enjoying Figure Eight's beverages, we can ride west to Flossmoor (approx. 40 miles) and relax a bit over a pint before boarding Metra train to Chicago.

F8 crew will be expecting us and will show us the brewery.

Ride was great. Beautiful, if cold, weather, nice long, straight and paved trails. We had to ford a flooded road a couple of times, and ride rather busy streets a bit on our way back, but, otherwise, success (at least, in my biased opinion).

the 4/20 bridge lift has been canceled. And they were scheduled to start at 8 am anyhow.
